I hear the sound of the earth falling
Dying smoke leaves burning embers
Collapsing stone shattered upon me
I lie trapped, I’m all alone - blinded by darkness
Lying here wondering how this came to pass
I fear my memories have faded, must be forgetting myself
A cruel paradox as I’ve stumbled into existence
Seem to be reborn, yet buried in my tomb
Don’t even know who I am anymore
Could my life be worth living still?
Or should I just stay and die as a stranger?
But I must be alive for some reason
Have to know who I’m supposed to be, or who I could become
Then something awakens a strength inside
Stirring me to rise from the ashes
My eyes now wide awake
Shown all I couldn’t see
My own wounded state reflects this place of ruin
My scarred wrists a sign of harm I had endured
I faced death still I was spared, get to live another life
What could fate have in store?
Enticed by a glow from a stairwell
Inviting me to find what lies above?
A voice, been struck by its song
Echoing through the silence of a desolate chamber
Containing remnants of statues, scriptures and tapestries
But high on a pedestal stands a book
An ancient tome holding a prophecy
I turn the pages of illumination, telling of divinations realised
Through a great wall of mist arrived The Wayfarer
A higher being foretold to guide the people to a faraway mystical tree
Whose Song held the key, the knowledge to evolve all of mankind
My gaze strays away from the book, so mesmerised
Ornately carved panels, three
In the heart of this fallen edifice, a triptych illuminating me
Between depictions of discord and harmony
Stands The Wayfarer before a pillar of light
Encircled by The Myrehsia Tree
It rises through the sky, and so must I
Seek far for the truth, reach for the answers
Let the tree revive my lost memories
I wonder what awaits beyond?
Leave this instant and search for answers
Nothing left to lose, a life to restore
Run up the pathway to destiny's door...
...crashes wide open
Haunting figures appear
Instinct takes over
No choice but to run

For those that remember the Look and Read series in the early eighties (which had such programmes as 'Dark Towers'), in my opinion this music evokes those feelings of mystery and wonder. Very, very impressed. Trebör
Wonderful, beautiful, densely layered music. I'm glad I gave this album several headphone listens before commenting. It did not immediately strike a chord with me, but the more I listened the more I began to understand and appreciate how fantastically rich and deep the sound is. For fans of atmospheric and melodic prog, this is an excellent addition. Bass and drum work are exquisite! paliojen_black
A beautiful and haunting EP. I hope Marjana continues to produce material like this, in addition to her work in iamthemorning and the newly-formed Maer collaboration with Anna Murphy. Eleventh Earl of Blah
The haunting music of Morita Vargas floats her heavily manipulated voice over hypnotic rhythms from the kalimba, the cajón, and more. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 25, 2020
A haunting, beautiful, autobiographical record that uses samples of old gospel records to wrestle with faith and unbelief. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 2, 2021
An esoteric and eerie live performance from multi-instrumentalist J.P. Shilo conjures up haunting images with a multitude of dark tones. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2021
